Six levels of concrete and steel house contains three condos a block from the Barclay Center in north Park Slope. Each bathroom, each kitchen, room after room, are all filled with custom concrete sinks and counter tops, built ins and staircases, as well as walls and floors and ceilings…all with rich histories of craft and origination. Heart pine floors from beams from the old Domino sugar factory blend with concrete floors in bathroom that are formed out of the same wood so that the grain continues from bedrooms to baths. Triple glazed windows, solar panels, doubled insulation, and 100% LED lighting contribute to an efficiency of systems and energy use found in less than 1% of buildings. Relentless custom craftsmanship unfolds through this modern and ultra sustainable building.
